How to Stop Glasses from Fogging Up: 3 Simple & Natural Tricks

Foggy glasses can be incredibly frustrating — especially in winter, while wearing a face mask, or when walking into a warm room.
Instead of constantly wiping your lenses, try these three easy, natural methods to keep your glasses clear all day.

1. Dry soap bar

Rub a dry bar of soap gently over both sides of your lenses. Don’t add water! Then, use a clean cloth to softly wipe off any visible streaks. This creates a thin, invisible layer that prevents fog from forming — simple and surprisingly effective.

2. Dish soap

Place a tiny drop of dishwashing liquid on each lens. Spread it evenly, rinse gently with lukewarm water, and let the lenses air dry or pat them softly. This trick is actually used by divers to keep their masks from fogging up underwater!

3. White vinegar solution

Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water (50/50). Wipe your lenses with this solution, then dry with a soft cloth. Vinegar helps remove grease and creates a surface that’s less prone to fogging.

Bonus Tip: Always use a microfiber cloth to avoid streaks or scratches on your lenses. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference in clarity and care.
